[VACList] 1962 Safari lights

Does anyone know what the materials is on the inside of the scones on a 1962 
Safari?  Looks like some type of paper or stiff fabric.  A previous owner put 
too large a bulbs and the paperor whatevers shows brown like burn marks.  Any 
help would be appreciated.
