yes well but...

vulkem will "wick" or flow into tiny crevices thru capillary action IF they are
not painted over.
Personally, If I should ever be in the situation where I was painting a trailer,
I would vulkem, wait to let most of the aeromatics evaporate or outgas and then
tape the seam with a 1/4" or half inch tape then paint it.
for sure, you do not want the "seam" or joint painted before you paint it.  then
you might as well paste silicon caulk on it.

again, ymmv and I stop tossing pearls at this point<G>
iow, I am off to find something else to talk about.
