I'm not to sure about yours. But on my 66 Ambassadore the all I removed was bolts forward and aft of the tank and the side rails (I only had one) stayed attached to the tank. Mine was (is) in bad shape so I will be making new parts when I get ready to reinstall the tank. I'm sure I'll be modify it some to simplify removal if I ever have to again.
