[VAC] Re: Tekonsha Brake Controllers

Disconnectable hydraulics in farm tractors tend to lack the details of
control and lack of air that we depend on in hydraulic brakes. We
weren't thinking of all hydraulic, just the old controller for electric
brakes that worked off the tow vehicle's hydraulic pressure, pressure
being a far better indication of brake effort than changes of inertia or
brake pedal position.

Maybe we are looking at the wrong problem, that of making the trailer
brakes operate proportionally to the truck brakes, without tapping the
truck hydraulics. What about leaving the trailer with electric brakes
and converting the tow vehicle to electric brakes. Then the controls
could be similar and matching trailer brakes to tow vehicle brakes might
be simple... Sure would confuse Midas when the tow vehicle needed brake
pads!
