We had a 92 Crown Vic with the 4.6 L engine and towing package and it was a good
tow vehilcle. It was rated at 5000lb for towing. I used it extensively towing by
classic Chevy on a trailer.  The only difference from the normal Crown Vic was
dual exhaust and a lower ratio in the rear end.  In 97 when I was looking for a
new car they had dropped the towing package and dual exhaust ( higher HP) engine
was only available on the touring package which I didn't feel was good for
towing.
