Hi Geven,
Every state is different, I know that. In New York State, 
an appraisal and estimate of value by an RV dealer is
all I need for substantiating my request to buy enough 
insurance to replace my Vintage Airstreams if they are
damaged or destroyed. 

I do the same thing with my 25+ year old car. My
insurance agent loves to see me come in with another
estimate of value and a wallet full of additional dollars 
to plunk down on his desk. 

My suggestion: Ask your agent what he needs so he can
legitimately sell you more insurance. Keep it straight
and simple.
