RE: [A/S] Tiling Floors



Hunter,

If you still want to tile the bath (or small area) you could try screwing
Wonderboard to the plywood floor with the special self countersinking screws
(so they are flush or below the surface of the panel) and then using an
epoxy thinset and epoxy grout. [It is messy stuff to work with, especially
the grout] This would give you the most rigidity for the weight, and some
needed tensile strength (the Wonderboard is about 1/2 in thick and a sort of
"concrete drywall" reinforced with a fiberglass mesh fabric.)

You will still be operating "on the fringe," but this method has some
possibility of working.
