[A/S] Re: Diesel milage

No on-board computer- just a note book and a calculator..
I've put nearly 100K miles on the black beast in the past 5 years, and
these averages are consistent. A little higher in summer, a little
lower in winter (I assume winter blend diesel is not as efficient,
unless it's just cold weather driving). This is my second Ford diesel,
the first being a 1992 non-turbo. I experienced 17 MPG across the board
with that rig. I do have a pretty light foot.

I know quite a few people with trucks with the same engine; some get
similar results as I, others seem to have Hunter's experience. I don't
know why this anomaly exists but it appears to be so. Same thing used
to come up on the Yahoo Powerstroke board when I was a member there
with no logical explanation.
