[A/S] chargers and DC

Regarding DC power supplies for the trailer and proper charging of the 
battery.
I disconnected the DC power supply and put a little solid state battery 
charger in the circuit.
Got the charger at a Marine supply store. All the DC is just run off the 
battery.
After I burned up one battery I figured proper charging and perhaps 
replacing the charger once in a while was cheaper than burning up batteries.

Modern chargers are smart, altho that comment on the solid state stuff 
being fragile is probably correct.
I had a Trace household inverter/charger in my house in Haiti which 
would tolerate very bad current.
They are expensive tho. Trace does make units for RV's.
