Rather than thinking of absolute temperatures consider the amount of time below freezing.
In my Airstreams (non forced air) I have not had problems with temps in the 10-20 degree
range but here in Texas extended periods below freezing are rare. Anywhere you expect
sub 20 degree temps for days at a time would have me opting for the forced 
air and 40lb propane tanks.
