RE: [A/S] electric tongue jacks
My '76 25' Tradewind came with a factory installed H&H electric jack which
still works. Even after a long time in storage, the unit seems to function
well.
If it jams - sticks (which has happened a couple of times) in the fully
retracted position (probably from lack of use, I just lift off the motor
(loosen a couple of allen head set screws) and insert the hand crank and
turn. The motor has not burned out, and the unit still works fine. It
hasn't stuck lately.
As I recall, H&H makes a couple of models - which have different weight
capacities. In your case, the higher capacity jack would probably be a
better choice. Mine is one of their lighter weight units.
I would recommend the H&H as have several others on the list.
