Randy,

Why not run the four conductor wire for a 50 AMP outlet, but use only
three for the 30 AMP, then you will be prepared if you want to change.
The additional cost for the four conductor wire is minimal compared to
what you are doing now.  Or run a separate conduit with the wire for 50
AMP, again the incremental cost is minimal since the trench is open.
