Given the RV parks don't have traps, I say, no trap needed, just make sure
that you keep it closed when not in use and use a sewer hose donut to seal
the opening around the hose when connecting for an extended period.  If a
trap is installed, it should be a GOOD distance downward and away from the
opening so as to ensure that the force and volume that occur when dumping
the tanks does not backup and overflow.  BUT, I would say NO trap.
