[A/S] Shock Absorbers

Does anyone know of a good source or have any experience on replacing 
shock absorbers?

I would like to purchase an aftermarket replacement but may have to go 
to Airstream.

I have a tandem axle 27 foot 1973 Airstream International

It has horizontally mounted shock, not vertical mounted as you or I 
might think they should have been designed.  There are mounted 20 or 
30 degrees off of horizontal with the bottoms down.
