Re: [A/S] Electric jacks
My 1979 31' International has what looks like the original electric
jack on it. While there are some signs that it has been serviced in
the past (mismatched screws on the top cover, and spliced wiring) it
seems to be holding up well. I can't help you with the brand name
though since it wore off the cover long ago. If you can find out
what brand of jack A/S installed in the late 70's, get that one.
Listening to your problems, I am curious if you had the proper sized
power wiring connected to it, and tested the voltage with a meter to
see exactly how much juice it was getting.
While I am sure your Bambi weighs less than my trailer, I would also
double check the capacity of your jack. Maybe consider installing
the next larger size jack.
