[A/S] Dish vs. DirectTV

You asked about comments on Direct vs. Dish.  We started out with Dish 6 
years ago with a dish that had to be set up at each location.  It had 1 LNB's to 
accommodate Dish using two different satellites.  It worked fine for us.

Then we bought the TracVision Dome, which is 'stationary'.  Whenever we reach 
a new destination, it will find the satellite automatically.  However, when 
we would change from a station using one satellite to a station using the other 
satellite, the dome would have to search again.  Sometimes it would take a 
few minutes, and would often miss the lead in to a program, which you just don't 
want to do with CSI.

We changed to DirectTV and no longer have that problem.  I assume Direct uses 
only one satellite.  

I can't speak for programming since it has been a few years since we used 
Dish.  We have had no problems with DirectTV . . . haven't had to call tech 
support.  I do have to call to order PPV since we don't have a land line, and have 
had prompt service.  No complaints.
