Bill,

The radio shack is a cool idea.  It also makes the interior condition 
and appliances not factor into restoration costs.

I suppose that over the years of buying and repairing people's 
neglected cars, motorcycles, and so on, I have lost the taste for 
such projects.

While my curent Airstream needed a little work when I bought it, for 
the most part it was ready for camping.

Based on the body damage you described though, I would still shop 
around to see if you can find one in better shape for not much more 
money.
