[A/S] No Tittle

Next problem with this old Airstream is no tittle, the guy that has it
supposivly bought it at a auction (estate type deceased owner) many
years ago and did not get a tittle and can not located the auction
paperwork. He said it probably hasn't been registered since the 70's.
In reality he doesn't appear to care wether he sells it or not if he
gets tired of it setting there will cut it up for salvage. Any Texas
residence out there dealt with getting a tittle from state?  Lady at
local DMV said if less than 4000lbs doesn't need one but from what I
can find it should weight 4280 lbs, is that gross or empty anyone know.
