[A/S] Serial Number

Hello I am a new memeber of the group and hope to be a Airstream owner
in the very near future (hopefully tomorrow).  I have found a
Airstream in need of rescue, don't know how long it has sat but at
least 4 or 5 years. The body appears to be in fairly good condition
with only one dent noted on the top road side front about the size of
a grape fruit, rear access area (trunk) door missing and another
access door on the road side missing. Living room road side window
broken out. From my quick look inside it will need complete refurbish.
Don't know the year but I think its a mid 60's Ambassador, has a large
window on the front road side which is upper and lower pane (both
large) ceiling area in the bedroom seems to have a quilted upholstery
covering it. Did not have time to look at everything as the guy was on
his way out. It will require a lot of work to get back on the road but
for $400.00 I think I'll give it a shot.
When looking at it tomorrow and if I buy it I will be getting a "Bill
of Sale" I want the Serial Number listed so my initial question is
where will I find the Serial Number (V.I.N) located on the unit?  Will
have to start reading the back post to catch up and look forward to
being part of the group.
