The standard wiring that Airstream does for TV using the roof antenna 
and with a park cable connection is not compatible with a satellite 
antenna connection. The park cable connection is at the rear of the 
coach and "back feeds" through the same wiring that feeds TV signal from 
the antenna. A satellite receiver must have a direct high capacity 
connection from the antenna before it is fed to a TV. In the past this 
direct connection was added after the unit was sold.

Two 53 watt panels is a lot of power for normal use. It equates to about 
7A per hour of sunshine returned to the batteries. Larger sizes 75W and 
100W are about as big as they come. Often times the limitation on the 
size and number of solar panels is the availability of space to mount 
them. In the past the dealership at which I worked mounted 4 100 watt 
panels on a 30' coach. It required sizable outboard brackets to create 
enough space. Many RV dealers can mount solar panels and charge 
controllers to an existing coach. One of the best deals in solar is 
available at the International Rally every year from a vendor that has 
been coming for years and knows his stuff.

The option means there is a generic type connector mounted on/toward the 
front of the coach. The assumption being that the generator of your 
choice is located in or near your tow vehicle and it is simply a matter 
of hooking the generator to the coach and starting it up. They do not 
mean to mount the genset on or in your Airstream. They have tried that 
in the past with very mixed results. Which is not to say it can't be 
done as several on this list will attest to.
