I tow our 31' with an Equalizer hitch. I too experienced the loudness 
(it will turn heads..) when turning. I have used lithium grease on my 
hitch ball; I now use the same grease applied top and bottom to the 
pivot points directly below the ball. This  does the trick. I do it 
every time I lash up- first wiping off the old grease with a paper 
towel. I can't imagine anything special about Equalizer grease (except 
the price maybe..)
Don't grease the bar where they pass over the "L" brackets- that would 
greatly reduce the friction that helps with sway control. The noise 
isn't coming from there anyhow.
I also learned to couple the ball (along with the monster Equalizer 
gooseneck and bars) back in to the trailer's hitch socket after 
unlashing. No more grease on the pants. Locking the ball in place- both 
through the hitch and with the "dog bone" lock through the gooseneck- 
is another step towards theft prevention.
