Yes, the 34'er is MUCH better than a 31'er.  I switched from a 2000 31 to a
2004 34 and have no regrets with the floor plan change.

I do not notice any difference towing but trailer ride is unknown since no
one rides in the trailer.  One of the important things to do to improve
trailer smoothness is to get the tires balanced.  Airstream DOES NOT balance
the tires.  I base this statement on my two new purchases and having no
weights and up to 4 ounces of weights having to be added.

The big difference is not the 3' 10" of length, it is the layout with the
side breakfast bar with bar stools, lounge slide out, front computer/writing
desks, and the high built-in entertainment components.
