[A/S] F-150 vs. Tundra for the 19' Bambi?

Thank you to those who responded to my first inquiry as to whether my 
Ranger could adequately and safely tow a 19' Bambi.  I have owned 
Rangers over the years but now it seems that I will need a larger and 
stronger vehicle to tow a 19' Bambi.  To re-cap specs of my current 
Ford Ranger: 2001 XLT Super Cab 4x2, XLT 126" wheel base, 4.0 L SOHC 
V6 Engine, 5-SPD Automatic O/D transmission, 3.55 ratio regular axle. 
My owner's manual lists the max. trailer wt. for this vehicle as 5885 
lbs.

It seems I have "aluminum fever" and I am getting excited about 
purchasing my first Airstream: a 19'SE Bambi Safari. It has a unit 
base wt. of 3680 lbs. I was told at a recent Airstream rally that I 
should factor in an additional gear-load weight of 1000 lbs., which 
corresponds to Airstream's GVWR of 4500 lbs. for this trailer.

Thank you Hunter for the advice not to exceed 75% of the rated 
maximum. Since 75% of 5885 is 4414 lbs. and considering I will tow 
the trailer over mountains, I agree that the Ranger must be replaced.

Now it's down to which would be best the F-150 or the Tundra?
I plan to do mostly on-road use, but possibly some off-road too. I am 
recently retired and this truck has to last.  Thank you!
