[A/S] Motorhome towing

My wife has mentioned the possibility of our purchasing an Airstream 
motorhome.  This leads me to ask two initial questions regarding the 
motorhome's towing a car: 
(1) Can a Honda Accord be towed without a dolly?  If not, how do I 
find out which cars can, and cannot, be towed without a dolly?
(2) For towing, especially through the mountains, does the motorhome 
need a diesel engine, or will a gasoline engine suffice?
