Re: [A/S] Microwave on an inverter?



The simple answer is yes. Given that the inverter is adequate to the 
needs of the microwave. This does not mean the cooking power (EG 1,000 
watts) rather the power rating on the specification tag on the unit. 
Often 2-500 watts more. If the tag only gives a current rating simply 
multiply the current times 110V for the power rating.
In the past the only inverters offered were of the "modified sinewave" 
variety. The market now offers true sinewave inverters as well.
