A genset on wheels with a couple of aluminum folding ramps would fit
in a 'Burb.  An LP tap on your tank would eliminate the stench of
gasoline within the vehicle (which would get me gagging in a hurry so
I presume that is on of your considerations).

Only ones driven by the engine in your vehicle, not self powered. 
Running your engine for shore power smacks of an atomic fly swatter to
me.  That's an awful expensive genset in terms of fuel used and idling
wear and tear on a $30-50k vehicle. For an example of the best of this
type I've seen go to:  http://www.aurasystems.com/, but I would
discourage this approach.
