Clark Howard says similar things about bottled water in the US,
and suggests that you buy bottled water *only* if you don't like the taste
of tap water. The local tap water in DeKalb county, GA, exceeds all
standards for purity and safety; who knows about bottled water, much of
which is just the local tap water from wherever it's bottled. My wife
doesn't like the tast of DeKalb tap water (I, on the other hand, find it
ok); so, we buy bottled water by the gallon at Kroger. May get a taste
filter next year, though. But, do whatever you are comfortable with.
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
