[A/S] Water - lifes most important item
I don't know about in the US, but here in Canada, we do not really
know where bottled water comes from. There are fewer regulations on
water testing on bottled water than there are on our city tap
water. Our city in particular is really fond of chlorine, and so
use any excuse whatever to add more. Bottled water could feasibly
come from the same source as my water in my house but not be
treated. Soooo, to end this tale, we filter our water with a
British Imperial filter system which is portable, and we also take
it with us on the road. It may be seen at:

and the main URL for the site is:

Yes, these filter systems are brought to you by the same people who
make fine china. Ceramic makes good filters too, doncha know.
Anyway, this URL and site are in Canada, but a google search gave me
one in the US for anyone interested.

The additional load of people and the cattle to feed them has raised
the e-coli levels by seven or eight hundred times over what was here
when our countries were colonized, and this stuff gets into the
water table. That is why we really cannot drink from streams and
rivers anymore. Even in the wilderness, the water has become less
pure. My son is an environmental engineer and this is one of his
mainstays, the treatment of water. Ontario has become the most
regulated place on earth for water since our famed Walkerton
disaster. Between my son and Walkerton, I decided to be prudent and
ergo, the filtering. I even filter our tap water, but that is to
get the chlorine out. Okay, enough outta me, right? Hope this info
is of use to someone.
