[A/S] About water and our first AS trip

Distilled is the best, in my humble opinion. We carried it with us on
this last weeks maiden voyage. Don't know if we can find it on longer
trips. But for strictly drinking purposes a couple of gallons can go a
long way. The trip was successful. A couple of near misses with
obstacles when moving the AS. I realized, in the nick of time, that
the tail end of the trailer goes the opposite direction (pivots on the
axis of the wheels) in a tight turn when moving forward. Shoulda known
that. There is a gas station in Hamilton, Texas, that almost got a
redecorated sign post. The AS just wouldn't have been the same without
that clearance light and top corner of the rear end. The waterheater
cover decided to disconnect from the bottom connections at about
65mph; looks like a taco now. It needed repainting anyway. That was
about the worst. I fixed the venitian blinds with velcro to hold them
in place, while on the trip. Next purchase: Electric tongue jack. Also
found out how friendly Airstreamers are. Twice, when at a gas
stations, people stopped to tell us about their airstreams and chat
about the AS experience.
