[A/S] Re: Billings, Montana being anti -r.v. parking...

Having been in lovely Billings, Montana for eight days this past July, I can assure those who
have not visted they are not missing much.... Other than the oil refineries on either side of
town and the not one , but two mega American Mall size shopping centers, there is not much
to miss. Some may not know it, but this is where KOA started and still has their headquarters.
There is a nice walkable downtown and a good library to visit. On a more serious note,
everyone must realize there is an element of the " motorized homeless " who live in unsightly
recreational vehicles of all types. These folks frequently can be found in Walmart parking
lots. Ordinances aside, a savy traveler can always find a safe parking lot to spend a few hours
or the night. Perhaps, in this instance, the town of Billings is being heavy handed. But
perhaps the pressure may be coming from KOA?
