I can't answer all the questions about the rest of your trailer, but thinks
to this list, I can offer some information about the door being sprung. My
guess is the door came open while being towed down the road, and slammed
again the side of the trailer. This causes the door to straighten out, and
not fit the curve of the trailer any longer. I fixed 3 of these mishaps on a
recent caravan I went on to the Southwest. All you have to do is place a
piece of wood (a short piece if 2X4 works for me) in the door about the
center of the door near the door handle. You then close the door on the wood
to hold it in place, then push on the top and bottom of the door at the same
time like you were trying to force the door closed. Give it a couple of
pretty hard pushes, then check your progress. You will be amazed at how much
you can bend the door without using a huge amount of effort. Just keep
working on the curvature until you get it to match the side of the trailer.
 
Like I said on the Southwest caravan this spring, my neighbor at the first
stop was complaining about starting off the caravan by having to drive 150
miles to a dealer to get his door straightened. He had an appointment with
the dealer, and had been quoted $150 for the job. I took my piece of 2X4 I
carry with me over to his trailer, and we had his door fitting better than
it ever had in less than 5 minutes. He knew about another guy that had the
same problem, so we went over and fixed his door also. He also said it had
never fit as good as it did when we finished. Later in the caravan another
person had his door latch fail with the same results. We fixed his door as
well, including finding a screw that had fallen out of the latch that caused
the problem in the first place.
