You would be fine on the flat, but personally I want more truck for hills and 
for stability when 18 wheelers blow by.

I pull a 25' Classic (8000#) with an F250 crew cab diesel. Some say 
overkill.... I say it's saved our butts on more than one occasion when less truck would 
have meant disaster.

Does the Tundra come with a crew cab? The longer wheelbase would help alot.
