Hi Lee,

I tow a 1972 29 foot Ambassador with a 3/4 ton truck model.  In some 
vans, the designation may be 250 or 250 HD.  I think some GM models 
are designated as 2500 for a 3/4 ton model.  I DO recommend at least a 
3/4 ton unit.  Engine size and axle ratio are important considerations 
in purchasing a tow vehicle.  Higher numeric axle ratios such as 3.73 
or 4.10 are better for towing, but worse on fuel economy.
