James, Excellent advice from Tony. Replace the Univolt with an Inteli-Power Converter and Charge Wizard, THEN get good batteries. Univolts eat batteries. And, as he says, they do not have a setting for AGM batteries like the Optima. They are made for lead-acid batteries. Best regards, Rik
