If any of you have had a Norcold failure, there is a known recall for  
cooling unit failure, which Norcold will replace for free. If you go to the  Norcold 
website, the serial numbers are posted to advise if your fridge is under  
recall. Typically a faulty cooling unit failure will cause a slight accumulation  
of yellow powder in the back of the fridge under the cooling unit, 
accompanied  by a strong smell of ammonia, but any units with the defective cooling 
units  will be repaired free of charge, even if they haven't failed yet, I think.
