Re: [A/S] new to group
Look at RJ's advice on buying an Airstream and Price Guide at :
.
http://vintageairstream.com/FAQ/FAQ_3.html
When you start looking, consider the price of the target Airstream vs
what it will take to bring the Airstream to usable condition. The
hardest and most expensive part of an Airstream to fix is the Aluminum
skin and the frame . Next is the wooden floor. (Check the floor around
the door, in the bathroom and around the edges of the floor near the
walls.) Everything else is easier but the cost can add up. You didn't
say what era Airstream you are interested in but the vintage airstream
advice will hold for the newer Airstreams also though will be in better
condition .
