Re: [A/S] hydroflame question

James,

I once had a heater leaking at the gasket to the outside wall of
the trailer. It was a '74 28' but I don't remember the make of the
furnace. There was very little odor but after a while your eyes
kind of felt dry and irritated. This is very dangerous! Do not
sleep in the trailer with the furnace running. The heat exchangers
on these old furnaces rust out also. A 50 year old furnace is not
a good bet. I would replace it. The only smell a properly working
furnace gives off is the smell of hot metal and burning dust. Both
go away after it runs for a while.
