Re: [A/S] Opinion wanted on best truck to use

Dan -
One more thing you might want to consider is to take
it back to the Dodge dealer three or four times in
succession, and make sure they document the same
customer complaint each time. I have found with my
Dodge dealer here in NJ that three times is some type
of trigger point that allows them to perform more
radical Technical Service Bulletin fixes under
warranty. For example I was having trouble with the
transmission downshifting and "hunting" more than I
thought was appropriate. I took it back twice and
they said it was within specs and did nothing. The
third time they replaced the transmission valve body
and reprogrammed the ECM, all under my Dodge extended
warranty. Problem solved. In fact even though they
won't say it officially to me, the service writer
encourages me to bring it back for hard to find
problems, and they don't charge anything if they can't
solve a problem, so my only cost is inconvenience and
then the deductible. I know how frustrating these
things can be.
You take care now. - Guy
