Re: [A/S] a/c & microwave question
The older model microwaves drew more amperage than the newer models.
Also during that period the AC was less forgiving about sudden drawdowns
of power (brownouts). So the switch was used to protect everything.
Now a days the AC and microwave can run together as long as input
voltage is up were it is supposed to be. Of course with the water heater
running on electric will do it in no matter what. Been there, done that.
