Thanks to all that responded with an answer to my question.
Andy, you brought up a valid point that I had overlooked. I am now
towing with an '04 GMC 1/2 ton truck. I am still using the same
equalizing bars. Could this be one source of the stress on the
trailer? I never had this problem when towing with the former tow
vehicle. Rivets have just begun popping with this vehicle.
