Hi Jack,

I would NEVER leave home without a spare tire! I've carried one 
in several places (inside, back of truck, on bumper) but the best 
spot is one that not all trailers can do. My 03 had a spare tire 
carrier under the trailer, up front. My 54 doesn't have the clearance 
to keep one there so I have a carrier on the rear bumper which is 
not the best spot cause I have to lower it to open my storage 
compartment and I worry that the weight will cause frame problems. 
Others have enough room behind their propane tanks to prop one there.
