I also agree that a late 70's model, if in good condition, would be a 
good purchase.

I bought my '79 31' International for $7,000 a little over a year 
ago.  Like the previous post, I also had to put tires on it right 
away.  Just this year I had to replace the water heater.  There have 
been other repairs along the way but nothing major.

While the trailer was considered a luxury model in '79, it still has 
all the features you'd find on a modern high end model.  Well... 
minus the suround sound and extra 1000 pounds of glitz.

The light weight is an advantage of the late 70's models.  The only 
disadvantage that I see is the small gray water capacity (25 gallons) 
compared to what modern trailers have.  Another concern was the rear 
bath models with an improperly braced rear frame.  I am sure that 
someone hear can post what years that was a problem, and when it was 
corrected.
