You can get a receiver that fits over one hook, or over both. I chose the one
for two hooks as it also works with a winch mount, cargo carrier, step or
whatever else you can dream up.

Either style is easily removeable. For the short distance in backing a trailer
into a slot, I don't think the tongue weight would be a problem. If the front
end sags too much, tho, I wouldn't do it without some sort of wheel under the
tongue as a safety measure.
