[A/S] Yet another towing capacity question

Howdy,

Here's the same question I'm sure you've answered a thousand times.

I have an '05 Suburban. Chevy's site shows the towing capability at:

1/2-ton 4x4 (lbs.) 7200
"Maximum trailer weight ratings are calculated assuming a base
vehicle, except for any option(s) necessary to achieve the rating,
plus driver. The weight of other optional equipment, passengers and
cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow."

Using the 80% of max rule that would put me at 5760 lbs.

I'm looking at a 1972 Overlander (27'). To be pulled by the suburban
with a reese weight distributing hitch and the dual cam sway control.

Crazy?
Can it get me by for 18 months while I save for a used diesel 3/4
ton pickup?

thanks in advance,
chad
