I assume you've already connected the 7 way and it doesn't work correctly.
The 7 way on your truck should be wired right and you will need the move 
the wires in the male harness that connects to the truck. Not knowing the 
year of your trailer, I assume your trailer harness will separate from the 
trailer too? If so you only move the wires on the end that plugs into tow 
vehicle, not trailer! A little test light is great for this. Also the 
bottom left blade on truck 7 way is hot, you can take a short piece of 
wire and go from blade to blade or pin if trailer side is round and 
activate trailer lights/brakes from there. A pencil and paper is handy to 
jot down a pattern of connections so you can move all at once instead 
hit/miss method.
