Re: [A/S] towing with a jeep-trying again

Cathy,

I don't think any of those are enough truck to control a
trailer, even a 22 footer.

When you are in strong cross winds, with big trucks
swooshing by, in the rain, and the guy in front of you slams
on his brakes, you can't stop with a small vehicle, nor can
you control what the trailer does behind you. It will throw
you off the road.

"for the first 20' of trailer, you need
a minimum of 110" wheelbase. For every foot of trailer
after that,
their recommendation was an additional 4 inches of wheelbase. "

Is a good place to start.

You will hear about and even see people pulling with
undersized and under powered towers. Some will get away with
it, some will end up wrecked. Not worth it.
