Welcome to the list.

Our last Airstream was a 21' 1995 Soverign.  I think it weighed in around 
4,000 lbs+.  The tow vehicle was a Mercury Mountaineer (suv).  It did very 
well.  A bit sluggish in the GA mountains and on long pulls uphill.

Two of us were very comfy in that rig.

Presently, we have a larger TV (tow vehicle) and a 28' Safari SO.  The 
trailer weighs around 8,000 lbs. and the TV goes another thousand lbs. 
heavier.  A nice combo.

Back to your question about sourcing.  The http://www.airstreamforums.com/ 
has a great classified list.  That's where the buyer of our 21'er found us.
