Richard,

You definitely need a charge controller between the solar panel and
the battery.  The solar panel by it self might over charge and damage
your batteries.  Camping World has an inexpensive charge controller.
Or better yet, call AJL Solar in Lake Havasu City, AZ.  (928)453-9288.
Good honest people to deal with.

Also, since you are in Ohio, the Dayton Hamfest is coming up May, 20-
22, the largest hamfest in the world!  You can find anything electronic
there.  Some new some used.
