Good old fashion long term experience, dictates tire pressures.

Only you, the owner, are aware of the weight of your loaded trailer.

Therefore you must use the appropriate rating tires with an appropriate 
amount of air pressure.

Generally speaking 27 foot and up Airstream trailers, for a number of 
reasons, should be equipped with load range "D" tires.

Obviously, the longer the trailer, the greater the weight, hence the 
greater the air pressure.

Just because "D" tires can handle 65 psi, is not a valid reason to do 
so.

The air pressure should be adjusted to the load. Typically for a loaded 
31 foot trailer, the pressure should be 55 psi, cold. If the trailer 
has no payload, the 50 psi. Heavily loaded. 60 psi, and finally 
overloaded 65 psi.

As you travel, stop and check the tire temperatures. You should always 
be able to hold your hand on the tires, as you come off of a highway. 
They should be uniformly warm. If they are hot to the touch, the tire 
pressure is too low.

Having excess tire pressure, gives the trailer a very rough ride, that 
it doesn't like.

The bottom line is that no two rigs are the same. Therefore you must be 
the judge and jury as to how much tire pressure your trailer must have.
