Re: [A/S] Honda Generator Parallel Power Kit(s)?
Oliver,
Just did the same. Try this link.
http://www.engr.udayton.edu/staff/lriggins/Honda
I ordered my shrouded banana plugs from
http://www.mouser.com/index.cfm?handler=homein Dallas @ about $3.50 apiece.
Also mounted hour meters on both (Honda's only shortcoming on these units) ,
meters are about $ 35-40 and are available from http://www.sendec.com/.
These meters are hour/tach and every 25 hours they flash an oil change
warning. No electrical hookup, just wrap a pigtail around the sparkplug wire
and mount.
I picked up the electrical parts at Home Depot or Lowe's....an enclosure
with a 30Amp receptacle, 12Ga SO cord and a CGB large enough to handle the 2
SO cords. Didn't see the need for an additional breaker and/or disconnect
since both generators are adequately protected. Spent $40-50 on the
electrical parts.
As the above link on the Honda's states be very, very careful soldering the
banana plugs. I used an old Unger pencil-type 35W and still had a small
amount of melt on the tips.
Good luck,
CraigC
